The ramp-up of a new distribution center – planned by the client with another party – for supplying the retailers of a fashion company was not successful. To achieve the expected productivity and service levels, Miebach Consulting was asked to analyze the warehouse structures and optimize the logistics organization and processes. Objectives of the project were outsourcing, returns to handle higher volumes in a shorter lead time, optimizing workload, staff planning and training of the employees.
