A multinational food and beverage conglomerate asked Miebach Consulting to assistance in designing and implementing the food grade warehouse for a regional plant. The challenge was to meet the warehouse’s high throughput requirement in minimum space, considering high cost of a temperature controlled warehouse. This mandated design of a complex material flow from plant to palletization to wrapping to food grade storage into a high density, fully-automated storage and retrieval system.
