As the Financial Controller & Administrative Manager for our US & Canadian operations, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the financial integrity, operational efficiency, and administrative effectiveness of our North American operations.

The Opportunity

As the Financial Controller & Administrative Manager for our US & Canadian operations, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the financial integrity, operational efficiency, and administrative effectiveness of our North American operations. Reporting directly to the CEO of USA and Canada, you will have dual responsibilities overseeing financial reporting, analysis, compliance, administrative functions, and coordinating with external HR firm.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management:

  1. Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with US GAAP and IFRS standards, utilizing QuickBooks software
  2. Coordinate with external auditors for the completion of annual audits and statutory filings
  3. Manage cash flow projections, treasury activities, and banking relationships to optimize working capital
  4. Collaborate with tax advisors to ensure compliance with federal, state/provincial, and local tax laws
  5. Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis to support strategic decision-making


Administrative Management:

  1. Oversee the accounting function, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities, utilizing QuickBooks software
  2. Implement and maintain robust internal control procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulations
  3. Manage administrative staff, providing guidance, mentoring, and support to foster a cohesive and efficient team
  4. Coordinate with external HR firm for payroll processing, employee benefits administration, and HR compliance matters
  5. Serve as point of contact with external service providers for administrative tasks related to corporate compliance and legal compliance
  6. Coordinate with the external legal advisors

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance roles, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP and IFRS principles, with experience in multi-national financial reporting and consolidation
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks software for financial management and reporting
  • Experience managing administrative functions, including accounting, accounts receivable, accounts payable.
  • Experience coordinating with external HR firms for payroll, benefits, and HR compliance
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
  • Proven leadership abilities with a track record of building and motivating high-performing teams.
  • Experience working in a multinational environment would be advantageous
