While most of the other capital goods industries are suffering drastic slips in sales, the agricultural technology sector reacts fairly moderate and stable – with interesting mid term perspectives for continuous growth.
And most of the companies make use of the temporary business slow down – they take the opportunity to develop and push important strategic topics.
The development of new products and services, the consolidation and cost cutting programs, the entering of new markets the set up of new plant locations, acquisitions or strategic alliances – whatever strategic activity is started, always the alignment of production and logistics and the accompanying supply chains need to be taken into account because they form the backbone of all business initiatives.
Especially the producers of agricultural products need to have a close look to their internal process environments – starting from the R&D, via order processing, manufacturing, sales and distribution up to after sales services – the supply chains are extremely challenging.
