Miebach - The Supply Chain Engineers: New company approach profiles services

Frankfurt on the Main, September 2009.  Miebach Consulting structures its company approach in a new way; "The Consultants and Engineers” of the 90ties became today’s „Supply Chain Engineers“. The new company identity conveys an elaborated understanding of Logistics consultancy. Supply Chain Engineering designs network structures, processes and installations in the Supply Chain, especially in the procurement, production, distribution and after sales fields. In the same extend Supply Chain Engineering pays attention to strategy and technique. The finding of solutions is oriented towards engineering sciences with a holistic result. Jürgen Hess – Managing Director, Miebach Consulting says: Our methodology combines the strengths of “German Engineering” with the philosophy of anglo-american Supply Chain Management and Japanese production know how “. Hess explains the Miebach approach, as:  „If we talk about relocation strategies we know the service demands of markets, the effects on the material flow and IT in a distribution centre or production line.  Strategy discussions are based on the knowledge of the potentials and functions of material flow techniques, transport costs and processes. Miebach is ready to calculate and simulate all this in detail. This enriches our planning, secures calculated budgets and implementation.”

Along with the core business planning and implementation of distribution centres, since its inception in 1973, Miebach Consulting developed a wide range of competences and services – from supply chain strategy down to ramp up management. “The Supply Chain Engineers“ deliver their services worldwide across 17 offices from Bangalore to Santiago de Chile. With 280 employees and a yearly turnover of 28 Mio. Euro (2008) Miebach is one of the leading Consultants for Logistics and Supply Chain design. Miebach is also committed towards bringing out a book on supply chain engineering in the Gablerverlag early 2010.

The new company philosophy finds its expression in a new logo and corporate design system developed by quandel design, Frankfurt/Main (picture).
