We are currently looking for an Engineering Senior Consultant to enhance our team. You will start your career at Miebach by collaborating with Clients and Project Teams to enhance supply chain efficiency. You will play a part in assessing current processes and shaping the optimal design for the future.
This role presents an excellent career opportunity to develop supply chain modelling and design skills in multiple industries in an international environment. This position requires domestic travel depending on project requirements.
Mission:
To leverage your extensive expertise in warehouse management guiding clients in optimising their warehouse operations, taking responsibility for understanding client challenges, conducting in-depth assessments, and developing customised solutions. You will provide thought leadership and employ data-driven insights to enhance efficiency and reduce costs in the warehouse. Your mission is to ensure that clients achieve their warehouse objectives while aligning with industry best practices and emerging trends.
Duties / Responsibilities:
- Analysis: Conduct in-depth data analysis and warehouse assessments, utilising data to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Solution Design: Collaborate with clients to design customised warehouse solutions, which may include process optimisation, technology integration, and workflow redesign.
- Client Presentation: Present solutions and recommendations to clients in a clear, compelling manner, tailored to their specific needs and challenges. Communicate complex ideas in a straightforward and compelling way."
- Change Management: Assist clients in managing organisational change, helping teams adapt to new processes and technologies.
- Documentation: Create detailed project documentation, reports, and action plans for clients and internal teams.
- Quality Check: Validate analysis and documentation created by consultants, analysts and draftspersons.
- Offer Preparation: Create attractive collaboration proposals for clients and calculate the corresponding team effort.
- Training: Provide guidance and instruction to enhance the skills and knowledge of individuals in a specific field, ensuring they acquire the necessary competencies to analyse data, make informed decisions, and contribute effectively to goals.
- Management of internal projects: overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of initiatives within an organisation, such as the development of tools or the implementation of in-house training programs, to achieve specific internal objectives and enhance overall efficiency.
- Management of customer meetings: coordinating, guiding, and ensuring smooth interactions with clients to enhance communication, address their needs, and build strong business relationships for a positive and mutually beneficial engagement.
Qualifications and Skills / Experience:
- Bachelors or Master’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or Logistics and a minimum of 5+ years of relevant engineering supply chain industry experience is required.
- 3-7 years of relevant Supply Chain Engineering Consulting or Logistic integrator experience. Knowledge and expertise in the areas of warehouse automation, distribution centre design, production logistics, tendering, implementation and go-live.
- Excellent written/oral communication skills in the English language, strong problem solving and project management skills.
- Evidence of stakeholder management at all levels
- Team player with ability to work in cross functional and multinational teams.
- Advanced skill with MS Office suite, especially PowerBI, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
- Interpersonal, communication, leadership and problem-solving skills.
- Desirable: consulting experience, experience working cross-functionally among the entire supply chain, AutoCAD experience or additional languages (besides English).
