Back to My Roots: Why I Rejoined Miebach

Some professional journeys come full circle. For me, rejoining Miebach in 2025 feels exactly like that: a return to my roots.

I spent more than a decade at Miebach from 2010 to 2021, starting in the Frankfurt office in Germany before moving to Indianapolis in the United States in 2015. My move to Indy was a mix of personal and professional reasons. I loved what I was doing at the time but also was ready for a new experience/adventure, so moving abroad for Miebach allowed me to do both. 

I now work across all Miebach practices in our BU Manufacturing. In my early years with Miebach in Frankfurt, I was part of the Material Handling Engineering/Concept Design team. That whole time was defined by growing both professionally and personally in a fast-paced consulting environment that constantly challenged me to think strategically, act pragmatically, and deliver real value for clients. After that, I took the opportunity to broaden my perspective by spending four years with a Material Handling Systems Integrator, gaining hands-on experience on the sales side of intralogistics projects. The transition back to Miebach was great - thankfully a lot of people are still the same as when I left, so I have a preexisting network and have done “the job” for many years prior, so not a lot of ramp-up needed. The four years with the Material Handling integrator gave me direct insights to “the other side of the table”. We mostly advise our customers on procurement of technology. I was able to lead the design and specifically contract negotiations on the integrator side. Today, that allows me to share and explain the priorities of integrators and suppliers with our customers and hence enhance and speed up commercial negotiations.

I came back to Miebach for what makes this place really special: The pace is high, the expectations are demanding, and the people are exceptional. Working alongside highly skilled colleagues across North America, South America, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East creates an inspiring international environment where ideas, perspectives, and best practices flow freely.

What I value most is the combination of meaningful work and top-tier training. Miebach’s training program is the best one in the industry, ensuring continuous development while staying at the forefront of supply chain innovation. At the same time, the projects themselves are deeply strategic: from shaping end-to-end supply chain initiatives for global corporations to supporting smaller, family-owned businesses during pivotal moments of growth or transformation.

I’m excited to be back at Miebach because it’s a place where strategy meets execution, where learning never stops, and where collaboration truly drives impact. For me, returning wasn’t just a career move, it was coming home.
