3D printing, robots, drones: science fiction or near future? These questions will be discussed by Dr. Joachim Miebach at his closing speech at the Lisbon conference “Supply Chain Meeting 2015” on 8 April 2015. In his presentation, he will focus on major technological trends that are revolutionizing the industrial and retail sector and will analyse their impact on supply chains.

The event, organized by the magazine Logística Moderna, is the main meeting point for the Portuguese supply chain professionals, and will take place on 7th and 8th of April in Vila Franca de Xira (Lisbon).

Currently the supply chain goes far beyond of just moving goods from one point to another: it is a network of movements and complex relationships that have to be coordinated and tracked at any moment, with the least economic and environmental impact possible. Identifying ways to manage the change and, if possible, anticipating it is one of the objectives of the "Supply Chain Meeting 2015”.

What do customers, retailers and end users expect of the supply chain? How can companies manage the complexity of multi-channel business and what is expected of the supply chain? How to explore emerging technologies, making supply chains more efficient and agile? The conference will try to answer these questions and many others through a comprehensive program of lectures, panel discussions and presentations of case studies.

We are looking forward to your visit at “Supply Chain Meeting 2015”.
