Explore What Joining Miebach Really Means

You’ve applied to Miebach - Great first step! But let’s be honest, before you think about walking into our interview room in your new suit and a smile, ask yourself:

Do you really know what this job entails?

Social Sustainability

Miebach consultants don’t just talk strategy, we build it.

We deliver complex solutions across global supply chains, often solving challenges where the margin of error is razor thin.

It’s high-impact work, and we expect you to walk in with a level of awareness that reflects that.

Understand the Business, Not Just the Brand

→ Start with the Miebach website, but don’t stop there. Know the different competence fields / practices. Understand what a network optimization or logistics strategy project actually looks like - not just the buzzwords, but the impact.

→ You’ll stand out fast if you can connect your own experiences to the type of work we actually deliver. Do you see yourself in design? In engineering? In systems? In strategy? Know what lane you’re aiming for.

→ Check out the “Who We Serve” section. Know the industries we play in. Recognize that “global presence” isn’t a buzzword - it’s our operating model.

Read the Room Before You Enter It

→ Dig into our “News and Publications” - especially case studies and employee voices in the Careers section. You’ll see exactly how we think, communicate, and deliver. If you can’t see yourself in that kind of work, this may not be your move.

→ Pay attention to how we talk about results. We aren’t here to talk theory, we’re here to get outcomes. That mindset needs to show up in your interview.

→ Have you checked LinkedIn to see who you'll be interviewing - and working with? A quick look at your interviewers' profiles can give you valuable context: their backgrounds, project focus, even shared interests. While you’re there, skim Miebach’s company page. We post about events, project wins, and industry insights. If you walk in without knowing what’s happening here, it shows.

Know the Game You're Entering

→ Brush up on current supply chain trends. Disruptions, innovations, tech shifts - have an opinion. We’re looking for future consultants, not parrots.

→ Read the headlines, sure—but go one level deeper. Can you explain how a global shipping delay might impact a food manufacturer’s demand forecast? We love when someone brings curiosity that goes beyond the surface.

→ Be ready to answer: “Why supply chain? Why Miebach?” If your answer could work for five other companies, it won’t work here.

Practice Smart, Not Just Hard

→ Use the STAR method to prep your stories, but memorize the insights, not a script. We don’t want rehearsed; we want relevant.

→ Have questions ready. Not basic ones. Thoughtful ones. Questions that prove you understand what this work is and why it excites you.

→ Be ready to pivot. Maybe you’ll talk about a project that failed, but you grew from it. Maybe you’ll show off how you manage chaos. Either way, practice with intention.

Have Questions. Real Ones.

→ Anyone can ask about company culture or growth paths. But the best candidates? They ask something we haven’t heard before, because they actually thought about the role, the work, and what they want out of it.

→ Not sure where to start? Ask about project lifecycle. Ask what makes someone successful here long-term. Ask what challenges we’re facing right now.

And One More Thing…

→ Use your interview breaks. Chat with the people. Ask them what they’re working on. Get a feel for the culture. Yes, we’re assessing you, but you should be assessing us too.

→ We want you to want this job, at this company. Take notes. Be curious. Pay attention to how people interact, because you’re not just choosing a job, you’re choosing a team.

Michael, how would YOU describe working at Miebach?
