Crush the Case

The case study isn't just an assignment - Case interviews simulate client work.

We care less about having the “perfect” answer and more about how you break down a complex challenge, use data to make decisions, and communicate clearly.

Zoom Out Before You Zoom In

Don’t just dive into the numbers. Read the case through multiple times and consider what’s not being said. Factors like infrastructure, population density, local regulations, seasonal shifts - these matter. We want to see that you can connect dots that aren’t handed to you.

Accuracy Builds Trust

Double-check your math. Seriously. Recheck calculations, verify your logic flow, and question your own assumptions. A strong solution with a simple math error undermines your credibility fast. Accuracy is part of your credibility: don’t gloss over it.

Design for Impact

Your slides should work for you, not against you. Present data visually - think charts, tables, and diagrams that help tell your story. Clean, minimal formatting beats a cluttered slide full of screenshots. If you drop raw Excel tables onto your deck, it sends a clear message: rushed, unfiltered, and not client-ready.

Practice Until It Feels Natural

Rehearse presenting aloud, more than once. Grab a friend, a roommate, your cat - anyone who can help you get more comfortable when the stress is high. Speak out loud and be open to feedback. Try recording yourself and watching it, most of us are our own harshest critic. The goal isn’t to memorize, but to internalize your story enough that you can handle curveball questions without falling apart.

Think Like a Consultant, Not a Student

Treat your case presentation like you're talking to a client. Imagine yourself delivering it to a global client team - because that’s the standard. Speak with intention, keep your tone professional, and lead with confidence. How you carry yourself matters just as the information you're presenting. Be personable, be clear, and don’t just read off your slides.

Practice explaining your decisions: why you chose a certain model, what assumptions you made, and how you'd refine your answer with more time or data. If you can’t defend your logic, your idea won’t land.

This is Your Audition

Remember: we don’t expect perfect. We expect thoughtful. Show us that you care enough to prepare and think clearly enough to adapt when it counts.

You may be challenged during your case. That’s intentional. Sometimes there’s no clean right or wrong answer—it’s about how you respond. If you realize you’ve misunderstood something? Acknowledge it, pivot, and realign. Try: “Now that I understand this aspect better, I’d likely approach topic X differently by…” We’re watching for self-awareness, flexibility, and the ability to think in real time—because that’s what the job demands.
